Welcome to the Nevada Farm Bureau Website.

Nevada Farm Bureau is Nevada's largest, general agriculture organization. Farm Bureau is a member organization and we are guided by our policy which has been created by and for our farmer/rancher members.

Our mission statement reads, "Nevada Farm Bureau is the Voice of Nevada's Agriculture, promoting, preserving and resolving challenges through advocacy, education, and leadership."

Grassroots Organization

Farm Bureau is a grassroots organization. We are comprised of County Farm Bureaus. Members of each county meet to develop ideas to promote and protect farming and ranching in their county. Policy is developed at the county level. After county's make their policy positions it then goes to resolutions, then to the State level where the policy is voted on by delegates at the Nevada Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. Having a strong, active county Farm Bureau is the foundation of a strong state Farm Bureau.

Policy

Our policy is public policy, meaning we, as an organization, have policy that affects all Nevadans, not just farmers and ranchers. Policy is extremely important to Farm Bureau. We carry out our policy positions at the state Legislature, County Commission, City Council's, and other regulatory areas.

We have set up a website dedicated to just policy. On our Policy website you can review current policy and comment our different policy positions.

Leaders

Nevada Farm Bureau is directed by our Board of Directors. The Board Officers are comprised of a President, Vice President, 3 Area Directors, Women's Leadership Comittee Chair and Vice Chair and Young Farmer & Rancher Chair. The other board members are each county Farm Bureau President.

The officers are elected by voting members during the annual meeting. County Presidents are elected by county Farm Bureau members during the county Annual Meeting.

Take a look at our county Farm Bureau page for more information about our county Farm Bureaus.
