Clark County is the most populated county in Nevada and is home to Nevada’s largest city, Las Vegas. However, you don’t have to travel far from the heart of Las Vegas to find agriculture.
Las Vegas is home to R.C. Farms Nevada’s largest pig farm and is home to Blue Oasis Shrimp Company which farms shrimp for Las Vegas restaurants. Other Clark County communities such as Logandale and Mesquite have cow/calf and alfalfa operations. The 2012 Census of Agriculture states there are 252 farms/ranches making up 15,620 acres with the average farm/ranch size being 62 acres.
Clark County is also the home of the Nevada Farm Bureau President.
