Elko County

Elko County, the second largest county in Nevada, is known for their large ranches and wide open spaces. Total acreage for farming and ranching is 2,126,980 by far the largest total acreage in Nevada. The 2012 Census of Agriculture stated their were 552 farms/ranches in Elko County with the average operation being 3,853 acres.
