The 2026 Memorial Scholarship is dedicated in memory of Glen and Shirley Hardy. Together, Glen and Shirley were instrumental in the establishment of the Clark County Junior Livestock Association (CCJLA). Their extensive service to the CCJLA Board, the Fair Board, the Nevada Farm Bureau, the Clark County Farm Bureau, and the broader agricultural community made a profound and lasting impact on Nevada’s agricultural heritage.
This scholarship stands as a tribute to Glen and Shirley Hardy’s lifelong commitment to agriculture, youth education, and community service, and continues NHF’s mission of investing in the next generation of Nevada agricultural leaders.
The scholarship committee reviews all applications and selects one outstanding student to receive financial support toward their education in an agriculture-related field. This award will be granted to the student who best demonstrates the ability to succeed in higher education and shows strong potential to give back to the agricultural industry and Nevada’s agricultural producers.
