The Nevada Heritage Foundation supports the education and career development of Nevada’s youth pursuing agriculture-related fields. This scholarship was developed to assist students graduating from a Nevada high school who are entering a trade that supports Nevada agriculture, as well as students already pursuing training in a trade that serves the agricultural industry.
Trades that support agriculture may include (but are not limited to) veterinary technology, welding and fabrication, trucking and transportation, agricultural business, horticulture, irrigation technician work, animal health services, dairy farm supervision, and other skilled trades essential to agricultural producers.
Strong applicants will clearly demonstrate how their chosen trade will support the agriculture industry and benefit Nevada’s agricultural producers. The scholarship committee seeks to provide financial assistance to students who exemplify dedication to the agricultural industry and show commitment to building a successful career in an agriculture-supporting trade.
